MTCA - A National Musical Theatre Festival February 5-8 2026
The most EXTENSIVE educational Musical Theatre Festival in the nation. MTCA brings together High Schools, Middle Schools, and Musical Theatre Studios from all over the world for a weekend Jam-Packed with ALL things Musical. Our very own Footlight Theatre Company will be attending this festival for the first time as well as competing in several of their group Competitions and we have members competing in the solo competition as well.
On February 20, we will host the 15 Years of Movement Gala, a fundraising event celebrating the history, growth, and impact of The Movement Studio. The evening will feature performances by current students and alumni, highlighting the talent and achievements of the many artists who have been part of our community over the years.
Guests may attend by purchasing tickets or tables, with the following options available:

Dinner Seating: $125 per person or $1,000 for a table of eight

Charcuterie Table Seating: $75 per person (seats eight and includes a charcuterie board)

General Admission: $25 per person
When James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree, he discovers a magic potion that grows a tremendous peach, rolls into the ocean and launches a journey of enormous proportions. Matilda the Musical is a Tony & Olivier Award-winning show by the Royal Shakespeare Company, based on Roald Dahl's book, featuring music/lyrics by Tim Minchin and book by Dennis Kelly, about a brilliant girl using her imagination and telekinesis to overcome neglectful parents and a tyrannical headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, finding hope with her teacher, Miss Honey. It's known for catchy songs, energetic choreography, and celebrating childhood, imagination, and standing up to bullies, with a popular 2022 film adaptation on Netflix.
